Lawyer from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, diploma in Legal Anthropology from the National School of Anthropology and History, degree in Constitutional Law and PhD in Law from the University of Salamanca.

 

Since 2004 he has been a professor of Public Law, Human Rights and Legal History at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the Pontifical University of Mexico, ITESM, the Pan-American University, the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico, the Metropolitan Autonomous University, the Ortega y Gasset Interuniversity Institute, the University of Quintana Roo,  the La Salle University of Morelia and the Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he served as Secretary General. He has served in various positions such as Director General of the Institute of the Federal Judiciary, Director General of the National Institute of Criminal Sciences, Director General of Training and Dissemination in the Technical Secretariat for the Implementation of the New Criminal Justice System in the Ministry of the Interior and Senior Counselor in the National Human Rights Commission.
